Eastside Enchantment
Where you'll be
Description
Eastside Enchantment has all the laid-back charm of a beloved family home, with unique design touches, nice extras (such as a convenient office for those unavoidable work-at-home moments) and everything geared toward comfort. From the minute you park your car securely in the garage (with additional parking nearby, should you need it) and walk into the cheerful hall brightened by skylights, you'll know you are in for something special.
If getting a good night's sleep is your priority, the two bedrooms and sleeper sofa at Eastside Enchantment are going to delight you. The primary suite offers a king-sized bed in a spacious room with a wall-mounted flat-screen TV (with cable), open-beam ceiling, plentiful views, and private access to the patio with its jaw-dropping views. Slip into the en-suite bath and enjoy his-and-her basins, gaily painted in the Mexican style, in a powder room separate from the tub/shower combo. Bright Mexican tiles make this bathroom a cheerful place to wake up to, and of course, all towels are provided, as well as all linens for every bed at Eastside Enchantment.
The second bedroom offers a queen-sized bed, wall-mounted TV, and shares a full bathroom (shower and tub) with the living area of the condo. Perfect for a second couple, friends, or children, this room is light and spacious. And the sleeper sofa in the living room unfolds to give two lucky folks a nonstop view of the Jemez Mountains!
But Eastside Enchantment is so much more than a luxurious place to sleep. Here you will find plenty of room for your whole group to gather and enjoy a movie, board games, and great conversations. The living room is the glowing heart of the condo, with a kiva fireplace in one corner, million-dollar views along one wall, and ultra-comfortable seating everywhere. The smooth tiled floors encourage the kids to flop down with their toys, while the open-beamed ceiling adds a rustic coziness. Even though Eastside Enchantment does not have air conditioning, there are ceiling fans in the living areas and bedrooms to help keep the home cool. You will have many wonderful adventures in Santa Fe, but there's nothing like coming home to a beautiful, warm setting and enjoying one another's company at the end of the day!
And while you're sharing time, be sure to sit down at the big dining room table for a meal -- even if it's just takeaway from one of Santa Fe's splendid restaurants! Of course, if you get ambitious, the kitchen here is state-of-the-art, bursting with all the appliances, utensils, pots, and pans you need to prepare a feast. But even if you just use the coffee maker, microwave, fridge, and blender for your quick snacks and drinks, you'll enjoy the availability of a fully "furnished" kitchen. No rushing to the store to buy a bottle opener or a pack of paper plates when you come to Eastside Enchantment! Pick up some groceries and you could cook Thanksgiving dinner for a crowd from this kitchen!
One of the best parts of Eastside Enchantment is that although it is made for the perfect vacation, it's also designed as a workspace. A gleaming stacked washer and dryer await all your shopping and skiing togs; the stainless-steel dishwasher stands ready to be filled; and the condo even includes a small office, complete with shelves, ergonomically friendly chair, and enough outlets to power up all your equipment. If you need to slip away to get a little business done, this is a great place to work in peace without having to shush everyone or push aside games and projects on the tables.
Best of all, Eastside Enchantment offers fantastic vistas from a large patio overlooking the valley. With the mountains as a backdrop, you can enjoy the clear, clean air of northern New Mexico in perfect comfort. The gas grill is ideal for whipping up quick meals and the kiva fireplace just right for ambiance . . . not to mention s'mores! The patio table and chairs here may just become your favorite spot, the place you hurry to each morning with that first cup of coffee, then linger long after the magnificent sunset at day's end. The patio gives you the most spectacular views, and you will never tire of looking out at the beautiful countryside. Now, this is the real Santa Fe!
Come and see all that Santa Fe has to offer. There are plenty of exciting and amazing things to do and see around town. Become a townie and check out the local markets and art galleries located on Canyon Road. Engross yourself in the rich history and culture that Santa Fe proudly boasts. Do you like Opera? Don't miss out on visiting the Santa Fe Opera Theatre. How do you feel about catching a play or two? Be sure to make the scene at the Lensic Performing Arts Center. Incredible views, very quiet neighborhood. Impeccably clean and all starter items provided (dish detergent, sponge, clothes detergent, body soap, shampoos etc. The kitchen is very well equipped with all needed items for cooking and staying in. Appliances are very nice. Two electric coffee pots were provided which was an added bonus as we like our ground coffee (not keurig). Very clean and fluffy towels and a good supply of them for our stay. We were also impressed they had hooks in the back of the doors for towels to dry etc. A tiny perk but once of the things we see most failed at in stays. They also had towel bars and even a standing rack. Blow drier and all bathroom items were provided. The only negative of the condo is the living room seating. It really only fits two people and not even two people comfortably. The couch is a loveseat size so for tv viewing or lounging it is not comfortable for even 2 people. There is an arm chair but for long sits like a movie it is not a comfortable living room. They condo is supposed to fit 4-6 people but if you have 4 there would not be a comfortable stay for the living room, nevermind 6 people. We made it work for just two of us and we were exploring Santa fe a lot but would highly suggest a better furniture living room situation. The office was a great environment as we had to work during our stay so having a separate office work space was nice. The condo is spacious and has a lot of light. It had heated floors that provided heat however we did not need to use it as we were comfortable enough with the fireplace. We purchased our own wood as condo did not provide the wood for our stay. They did give us the name of a firewood supplier we could purchase from and have delivered. There is a garage however it was too small to fit a mid sized SUV so we did not try and parked in the additional spaces outside the properties. The Kokopelli staff was very helpful with anything we needed during our stay. A binder with instructions explaining the condo etc would have been helpful like we see at most properties we have stayed at. (With wifi, use of thermostat and locations, fireplace etc.) The flue for the fireplace was stuck in the open position however we did not learn this until the next day when we called the office for information on heating of the condo and the fireplace use. We did not want to use the fireplace until we confirmed this. Glad we called before using it first. Things outlined like this in a binder would be great. The condo is beautiful and very comfortable. It is walking distance to Canyon Road, Cross of the Martyrs, restaurants, trails, and 30 min drive to Ski Santa Fe. The views of the Jemez Mountains from the condo are spectacular! Highly recommended it. Tip: Property is off the main road, do not turn into Montoya circle. Stay on Gonzales and then turn into the entrance to parking lot. We were lots for a bit having arrived late at night and GPS sends you to the wrong entrance.

We really appreciate you taking the time to provide such thorough feedback, and we’ll be sure to follow your suggestion and create a binder for our future guests.
