Casitas Stieglitz and O’Keeffe share the wall of a charming adobe duplex built in 1947 located only a six-minute walk from the city’s central plaza. Separate dwellings that evoke memories of the artistic ‘power couple’ who greatly influenced the American Modernist movement of the early and mid-1900’s.

Casita Stieglitz offers inviting living spaces, comfortable furnishings, viga ceilings, ceiling fans and a traditional Kiva wood-burning fireplace with dedicated on-street parking – there is a small, narrow driveway adjacent to the casita that may accommodate your vehicle. Perfect for a romantic getaway, you’ll find comfort and space for two guests in this unit with one bedroom and one full bathroom. The front queen size sleeper sofa can sleep two more guests however this may play better with children or close friends as there is only one bathroom. The TV is located near the dining area adjacent to the side patio access which takes you to the private back rock courtyard.

While situated very close to many of Santa Fe’s amazing restaurants, a night ‘in’ can afford you the opportunity to make use of the casita’s fully stocked kitchen with all-white appliances. Gather around Casita Stieglitz’s intimate dining table or head outside to the private walled back patio and enjoy a meal taking in Santa Fe’s famous pinon scented mountain air.

This quaint Santa Fe vacation home puts you within walking distance of some of the area’s well-known museums – The Georgia O’Keeffe Museum, for example, is right around the corner. Historic landmarks, guided tours, art galleries, seasonal festivals and boutique shopping are literally minutes away. The gift of this property is its prime downtown location.

The condo did not have any proper lighting in the living room, which made it very dark light burned out all over the property and especially over the fireplace. And the AC doesn’t keep up with the heat.

This house was the perfect location to spend a few days exploring downtown Santa Fe. It is just a couple of blocks from the Georgia O'Keeffe museum, and only about a 5-minute walk from St Francis Cathedral Basilica. We parked our car in the driveway and never even moved it until we left town! We were able to walk to restaurants, shops, the downtown festival, and the museums we wanted to see! Upon arrival I did have to sweep the floor as there were a number of dead box elder bugs on the floors. We also found dead bugs in the beds. Now, I understand that this is a season when these bugs are everywhere, so I'm not being overly critical! But beware if you go at the end of summer! The second thing that I wish I would have known is that the bedroom only has a full size bed and it's pushed up against the wall. I was staying here with my adult daughter, so she took the bed and I took the twin size sofa. But if a couple stays here you'd have to pull the bed out from the wall or something. It was also a little awkward because you have to walk through the bedroom to get to the only bathroom. For my daughter and I this was the perfect tiny little house, we didn't need more than two beds, and there was so much to do around town that we were not there very much during the day!. The kitchen had everything we needed, including dishes and a coffee pot. There's a little patio table and chairs out the side door, and the interior decor was so kitschy and darling!
