When it’s time to call it a night, stretch out on the queen-size bed in Windchaser’s bedroom. The gentle breeze of the ceiling fan is certain to lull you to sleep. Just off the bedroom is the bathroom where you can enjoy a long, steamy shower. You’ll find plenty of towels and bedding waiting for you, and the bed will be perfectly made up by the time you arrive. So if you need to freshen up or nap after your travels, you can do so before you even unpack.

The cabin is also less than two miles from Grindstone Lake and Trail System, where you can fish, boat, hike, ride mountain bikes, ride horses and play disc golf. Alto Lake and Recreation Area is a 10-minute drive in the opposite direction; when you’re not fishing, you can explore the surrounding trails on foot, mountain bike or horseback. If golf is your sport, bring your clubs, as there are numerous courses nearby. And, of course, there’s skiing and snowboarding; you can drive to Ski Apache in just 40 minutes.
