Description for Casa Dulce
A three-bedroom Pueblo Revival home in one of Santa Fe’s most in-demand neighborhoods, Casa Dulce is as charming and inviting as the city itself. With its adobe walls, wood-planked ceiling, and tiled floor, this home lets you relish the region’s unique heritage even when you’re not exploring the many nearby attractions. It also offers plenty of modern conveniences, including complimentary WiFi and cable TV—and it’s pet-friendly to boot.

You’ll feel right at home as soon as you step inside Casa Dulce’s inviting living/dining area. There’s room for the whole gang to kick back on the plush curved sectional sofa and watch a movie on the flat-screen TV. On brisk winter evenings, the flickering flames of the kiva stove will envelop the room in a golden glow that adds to the relaxing mood of the home.

Because Casa Dulce is in the Santa Fe Railyard-Guadalupe neighborhood, you’ll be just minutes from scores of restaurants. After a day on the go, however, it can be more relaxing (and budget-friendly) to dine in. The home’s dining table seats six, in chairs so comfortable you’ll want to linger long after the meal is over. You can also dine alfresco on the patio, which is furnished with a table and well-cushioned log-frame chairs. Out here you can soak up the plentiful sunshine or, because part of the patio is covered by a roof, keep cool in the shade.

Casa Dulce also has a fully equipped kitchen featuring a plethora of appliances, cookware, tableware, and storage. But if you can’t seem to tear yourself away from the patio, a gas grill is available for your use as well. The only things you have to supply are food and an appetite—and you’re sure to work up the latter walking around downtown or hiking the mountains that surround the city.

Casa Dulce can sleep as many as six people (and two pets). Two of the three bedrooms feature a queen-size bed; the third has a double bed. The restful color palettes, classic furnishings, and ceiling fans all but ensure sweet dreams. The third bedroom opens directly onto the yard. After the kids are asleep, you and your special someone can slip outside for a nightcap beneath the star-studded sky without waking them. And because the yard is fenced in, the kids and your pets can run around to their heart’s content.

The home’s two bathrooms are outfitted to the same high standard as the rest of Casa Dulce, with beautiful tiling and ample storage. When you arrive, you’ll find the beds impeccably made up and plenty of clean towels and extra bedding ready and waiting—no need to bring your own. In fact, because the home has a full-size washer and dryer, you can pack lighter than usual.

If you’re traveling in a group, the convenience of a spacious driveway is key. Multiple vehicles can fit comfortably on the driveway of Casa Dulce which, given the home’s proximity to the city’s major attractions, will allow you to leave your car(s) at home and do much of your sightseeing on foot. For instance, the Santa Fe Railyard, home to restaurants, bars, markets, and art galleries, is right in the neighborhood. Also nearby is Santa Fe Plaza, the hub of downtown. The original Spanish market square, it’s still home to all manner of shops and restaurants. Just as close are the 17th-century Palace of the Governors, the New Mexico Museum of Art, and the Loretto Chapel, with its must-see spiral staircase. Or you can hop in your car and within a half-hour be hiking the Atalaya Mountain Trail or hitting the slopes of Ski Santa Fe.

Casa Dulce is proof that convenience can go hand in hand with comfort and charm. It’s the perfect package for the perfect Santa Fe getaway—so don’t let it get away from you: Book your stay today, before someone else beats you to it.
