River Bend Lodge is the perfect riverside house with stone steps leading from your patio right down to the river’s edge.

When you arrive at River Bend Lodge, you’ll discover a wonderful large cabin nestled in the trees with a carport and space for parking in the drive. If you visit in the winter, we advise coming in a four-wheel-drive vehicle and/or chains. Winters can be snowy and icy in the mountains. Driving conditions can be challenging.

River Bend Lodge is a spectacular home replete with creature comforts and everything you need to have a relaxing getaway with friends and family.

Your lodge includes both an air-conditioned main house and guest cottage complete with full kitchen, bedroom, and bathroom. Altogether the cabin and guest cottage will sleep 12.

Your main living room features high ceilings and a huge stone fireplace. The room is a cozy, yet elegant space with dual leather couches, and an antler based coffee table that blends perfectly with the mountain cabin décor. There’s also a cozy sitting area off the kitchen where you’ll find another fireplace, recliner, armchair and a large TV with cable and a DVD player. Altogether there are three TVs with cable and DVD players within River Bend Lodge. Plus you have free Wi-Fi in case there are members of your group who want to play games or send photos back home.

Your River Bend Lodge kitchen is a masterpiece in itself. High-beamed ceilings and rustic cabinetry complement expansive granite countertops and stainless steel appliances. You’ll love the huge refrigerator with ice and water door dispenser. Preparing snacks or full course meals for your hungry group is a pleasure in this well-equipped kitchen. The right equipment can make all the difference when you’re cooking for a group. You also have a large gas grill out on the patio where you can prepare some sizzling steaks or burgers for everyone. There’s a wet bar right inside the lodge where you can mix up cocktails for your guests to enjoy on the patio. Just buy your supplies in town and set up to serve.

You can dine out on the patio where you can listen to the river flowing nearby or gather your group at the indoor dining table for six. Additional guests can pull up a chair at the nearby breakfast bar. You’ll love the mountain vibe of full tree trunk beam supports and stone wainscoting. What a pleasure to dine at River Bend Lodge.

You also have the option to drive down into the heart of Ruidoso and dine at Hall of Flame Burgers, Cornerstone Bakery and Company, Log Cabin Restaurant, or any of 59 eateries in and around Ruidoso. There’s also live entertainment at some of these establishments so you can kick up your heels after dinner.

You may instead opt for a quiet evening around River Bend Lodge where you can challenge your guests to a game of pool, watch a movie, or settle in for a good chat beside a roaring fire.

As night falls, you’ll be more than ready to head off to bed. Golfing, hiking, biking, and touring the sights will do that to you. Your master bedroom features a king-sized bed and your own private access to the deck through French doors. After a full day of fun, slip out on the deck and spend a few minutes listening to the river flowing over the rocks and smell the pine-scented air. If you’re still not ready for sleep, turn on your private TV and watch a little late night programming. Before you know it, you’ll be ready to fall into a deep restful sleep.

When a new day dawns, you’ll be very pleased with the accommodations awaiting you in your master bathroom. There’s a vanity with dual sinks and a huge mirror that stretches the full length of the vanity. There’s also a shower/tub combination and a toilet plus a bidet at hand. Sleeping with the relaxing sound of flowing water in the river
We had a great time in this cabin. It is nicely situated surrounded by trees, deer come to visit and the river is in the backyard. It was charming. Beds were comfy. Good showers in the four bathrooms.  Kitchen is big and well equiped. Ruidoso is a cute little town with nice streetshopping area.  There are some minus points though 1. There is no place to have a nice sit down dinner with twelve people. There is a build in marble topped table to devide kitchen and living area with 5 seats and a bar with three. Under the stairs you can find some more low childerens seats and table, but than they’re out of sight. We were having our family get together and it would be nice to sit down with eachother. 2. Pooltable might be nice feature, but takes away lot of space and we had a two and five year old that constantly were walking around with the balls or trying to play pool. Since the surface of the table had several rips in the cloth i guess other guests had same problem. The balls have different sizes too.  3. One bedroom is central in the house and had no windows. There were two doors one to living area and one to sunroom, so there was an escape out. I’m dutch: i like to sleep with open windows! Luckily my cousins kids are A-C kids who keep there windows closed, so it was not a problem for us 4. The house was clean enough, but the heating outlets need cleaning. Only the first point was a bit of a disapointment, but we had a great time!  There is parking space for five cars (not two as is stated in the e-mail from condotel that you get prior to your visit (two cars for a 12 persons house is a bit tight i think!).

Girls Weekend
First impression from the road, underwhelming -HOWEVER-open the front door...this place is stunning!! We were torn: did we want to leave the spacious, comfortable cabin or go exploring the GSNP?? Since one in our group had never been, we decided to see the sights. We did make the decision to extend our weekend to a week IF we were able to secure this location next year. It was PERFECT!!! Super convenient to the downtown strip, the entrance to the Great Smokey National Park and to the Bi-pass to Pigeon Forge. The location eliminated the amount of traffic that we typically would have experienced. Sitting on the back deck or in the hot tub at night was just an amazing finish to everynight!! It's rare that pictures capture what the cabin will truly look like, this one REALLY captured every nook and cranny. I have been visiting the area regularly for about 17 years and have jumped from cabin to cabin and even tried several hotels. My search is over. The ease of going into contract and using the app for communication was not comparable. The space was impeccably clean and well stocked with everything we needed for the weekend. I would recommend this cabin for families, couples and those with handicap needs. The parking was spacious, well lit and secure. It's simply THE place to stay, look no further!! We have already started to plan our trip for next year, its not going to be complete if we have to find another place to stay!

Excellent Lodge
The place is excellent. Our only problem was a branch keep scraping on the wall and it was difficult to sleep. The pool table was a big help.
