Description for Casa Wildwood
Casa Wildwood’s views of the Sacramento Mountains and the Ruidoso Valley are spectacular—and they’re just one reason you’ll love staying here. Others include the outdoor hot tub, the ping-pong and air-hockey tables, and the 4 bedrooms, each with its own bathroom.

The deck is a favorite spot for reveling in the glorious vistas, the crisp mountain breeze, the chirping of nuthatches and hummingbirds throughout the day, and the star-studded sky at night. Bring your coffee out to the chaise to get your morning off to a beautiful start; even better, sit down to a hearty breakfast at the deck’s dining table. There’s a grill as well. If you reel in rainbow trout from nearby Alto or Grindstone Lake (both of which are regularly stocked), you can cook it out on the grill and enjoy an alfresco feast.

Of course, during ski season it might be too cold to cook and dine outdoors. (In fact, during winter you may need 4-wheel drive or tire chains to get around.) Fortunately, Casa Wildwood’s large eat-in kitchen is another charming space for gathering around the table with family and friends. Located on the main floor just off the great room, it boasts stunning hardwood floors and richly grained cabinetry, along with Santa Fe-style tile for the backsplash. The dining table easily seats 6, and the kitchen is fully equipped with appliances, cookware, and tableware. Don’t plan on doing much cooking? There are numerous restaurants to choose from within a 15-minute drive.

Relaxation is, of course, key to a memorable vacation. Casa Wildwood includes several areas where you can hang out with the others watching TV, playing games, or catching up on old times. Thanks to its fireplace, the great room is especially inviting in winter, though its leather seating, double-height ceiling, and windows looking out onto the mountains also make it appealing any time of year. Upstairs is a 2nd sitting room, with its own plush couches. And after a day on the hiking trails, you’ll relish a soak in the patio’s hot tub; its massaging jets of steamy water will have your weary muscles feeling as good as new.

Casa Wildwood’s master bedroom, with a king-size bed, is on the main floor. Two other bedrooms are upstairs, and the 4th is in the basement; these bedrooms each have a queen-size bed. All 4 bedrooms include a TV, and the entire home has free high-speed WiFi. What’s more, each bedroom has its own private bathroom. You’ll be able to indulge in a lengthy shower or bath without a line forming on the other side of the door. For added convenience, the main floor has a half-bath as well. And speaking of convenience, Casa Wildwood includes a washer and a dryer downstairs. They’re near the garage, which houses the ping-pong and air-hockey tables.

While Casa Wildwood offers plenty to keep everyone entertained, there’s, even more, to see and do nearby. The Links at Sierra Blanca golf course is less than a 10-minute drive. Alto Lake and Recreation Area is about 10 minutes away; when you’re not fishing, you can explore the surrounding trails on foot, mountain bike, or horseback. Only a few minutes beyond the lake is Ruidoso Winter Park, where you can snow tube in winter and soar on a zip line year-round. Just as close are the Hubbard Museum of the American West, Ruidoso Downs horse track, Billy the Kid Casino, the art galleries and artisan shops of Sudderth Drive, and Grindstone Lake and Trail System, where you can fish, boat, hike, ride mountain bikes and horses, and play disc golf. And in less than 40 minutes you can drive to Ski Apache, the southernmost continually operating ski resort in the country.

Guests who’ve stayed at Casa Wildwood can’t wait to return. Don’t miss out: Make your reservation today, and get ready for what might be your best vacation yet. Casa Wildwood represents luxury at its finest! Please note that four-wheel drive or chains may be needed during the winter months.

Great home with stunning view.
We rent a house in Ruidoso every Labor Day weekend and I have to say Wildwood is my favorite by far. The home is beautiful and the view is amazing.

Great stay.
I hesitate to give this the reviews it deserves because I want to save it for myself. 8 of us, all adults, stayed here and it was perfect. There is one bedroom at ground level which was perfect for elderly parents. Once again, great stay! T3
